Trial chambers are where you get the mace, breeze rods and heavy cores, but they're buried underground and pretty hard to spot. Type your seed and where you are, and you'll get the closest ones with coords, distance and direction. Like /locate structure trial_chambers, but without cheats.
They're in Java 1.21+ and Bedrock 1.21+, and the same seed puts them in different places on the two editions, so pick the right one with the switch at the top. Once you're on the spot, dig down: they're roughly between Y -40 and Y -20.
How to use it
- Pick Java or Bedrock and a version (1.21 or newer).
- Type your seed and your X and Z (empty means 0, 0).
- The closest trial chambers show up as you type. Copy the coords or a /tp command, or hit the pin icon to see one on the seed map.
- Go there and dig down. The chamber is usually between Y -40 and Y -20.
Questions
How deep are trial chambers?
Roughly between Y -40 and Y -20, never on the surface. The X and Z you get here are the center of the chamber: dig down there and look for tuff and copper.
What's inside a trial chamber?
Trial spawners that drop keys, vaults to open with those keys (the ominous ones can give you a heavy core), breezes, and tons of copper and tuff. To craft a mace you need a heavy core and a breeze rod, and you can only get both here. Everything else is on the wiki.
Can I find one without knowing my seed?
In the game, the only way is an explorer map from an abandoned camp chest. Your seed is way quicker: /seed in the chat on Java, or the world settings on Bedrock.
Can I find a seed with a trial chamber at spawn?
Sure! In the seed finder pick Trial Chambers as the structure and a range, and you'll get seeds with one near spawn, on Java and Bedrock.
