Can't find a village? Type your seed and where you are, and you'll get the closest ones with their coords, how far they are and which way to walk. Basically /locate village, but without cheats, for any version, Java or Bedrock.
Heads up: the same seed has different villages on Java and Bedrock, so pick your edition first. Also, villages only spawn in some biomes: plains, meadow, desert, savanna, taiga and snowy plains (Bedrock also has them in snowy taiga and sunflower plains).
How to use it
- Pick Java or Bedrock, then your Minecraft version.
- Type your seed (on Java, /seed in the chat; on Bedrock, it's in the world settings).
- Type your X and Z (F3 on Java; on Bedrock, turn on "Show coordinates" in the world settings). Leave them empty to search from 0, 0.
- The list updates as you type. Copy the coords or a /tp command, or hit the pin icon to see the village on the seed map.
Questions
Which villages are closest to spawn?
Leave X and Z empty to search from 0, 0, which is usually close to spawn. If you want the exact spawn point, open the seed on the map: the Spawn section lists the structures closest to it.
There's no village where you say there is!
First, double check the edition and the version: the same seed has different villages on Java and Bedrock, and they also moved around between versions. Large Biomes worlds are different too. If all of that matches, it's one of the rare spots the game skips (Bedrock does it a bit more often).
Does it show abandoned (zombie) villages?
Nope, here every village counts, and about 2 % of them are abandoned. On Java you can open the seed on the map, and the structures list tells you which ones are.
What kinds of villages are there?
One per biome: plains, desert, savanna, taiga and snowy. The biome at the center of the village picks the type, and the houses and trades come with it. Looking for a specific one? The seed finder can find seeds with a village in the biome you want.
