Seeds for every Minecraft version

Checked with Seeder's engine on .

Every version usually changes how the world is generated. The same seed can therefore give you a different world in each version. Each page below has seeds checked on that specific version. With a few words and some rants on what it changed.

  • Minecraft 26.3 seeds

The Wilderness Bound update. It added the orange and red dappled forest (who doesn't love some more coloured forests) and abandoned camps, where you can find copper gear and even hidden chests.

  • Minecraft 26.2 seeds

Chaos Cubed, with a new cave biome, the sulfur caves. Most common around Y = 0, so set the height to that value in the finder to find more of them.

  • Minecraft 26.1 seeds

The first drop with the new year-based version numbers. It changed nothing for world generation, so seeds look just like on 1.21.11.

  • Minecraft 1.21 seeds

Tricky Trials update. Now with trial chambers, full of breezes and vaults. And you can smash your friends with the mace. Drops started after this, adding the pale garden (1.21.4) and dried ghasts (1.21.6).

  • Minecraft 1.20 seeds

Trails & Tales added the pink cherry groves (one of my favourite biomes), archaeology, my big boi the sniffer and the in-my-opinion-too-tall camels. But I still love them.

  • Minecraft 1.19 seeds

The Wild Update that brought mangrove swamps, frogs and allays. This also added the spooky deep dark, ancient cities and the warden. Note from the future: this is also where the Sift portal will be found.

  • Minecraft 1.18 seeds

Caves & Cliffs, part two. This was a huge change! The world now goes vertically from Y −64 to 320. Finally we could have huge mountains. This also introduced the first cave biomes: lush and dripstone caves.

  • Minecraft 1.17 seeds

Caves & Cliffs, part one: geodes, copper, goats and axolotls. No big terrain rework yet: it was delayed to the next version.

  • Minecraft 1.16 seeds

The (much needed) Nether Update: crimson and warped forests, soul sand valleys, basalt deltas, bastions, ruined portals. The day the Nether became cool again.

  • Minecraft 1.15 seeds

This is the Buzzy Bees update. Bee nests can generate on trees, but the world itself generates just like on 1.14.

  • Minecraft 1.14 seeds

The Village & Pillage update. Brand new villages with a distinct look for each biome they spawn in, and pillager outposts. Don't forget the new bamboo jungles and the cute pandas.

  • Minecraft 1.13 seeds

The Update Aquatic that added warm oceans, coral reefs, shipwrecks, ocean ruins and buried treasure. Enter the dolphins. Oh, and the drowned. The mob that probably made me cry the most.

  • Minecraft 1.12 seeds

The World of Color update. Concrete and glazed terracotta. The world generates just like on 1.11, but tons of modpacks still play on this version. If your mods don't change world generation, these will be some cool seeds to play around with.

  • Minecraft 1.11 seeds

The Exploration Update that gave us woodland mansions and cartographer villagers that will sell you the maps to find them. Or you could use Seeder and get the coordinates on day one.

  • Minecraft 1.10 seeds

The Frostburn Update. Fossils, polar bears, strays and husks. Structures generate like on 1.9.

  • Minecraft 1.9 seeds

The Combat Update: End cities with their ships and the first elytras (RIP horses). This also added the outer End islands, as well as igloos for some reason.

  • Minecraft 1.8 seeds

The Bountiful Update that gave us the ocean monuments, with the pesky guardians and their elder version.

  • Minecraft 1.7 seeds

The Update that Changed the World: badlands, savannas, dark forests, giant taigas, flower forests, ice spikes and deep oceans. Some of these seeds look amazing. The update name speaks for itself.

  • Minecraft 1.6 seeds

Horses, donkeys and mules to ride. And this page celebrates them. Nothing beats a horse ride in the days before you get an elytra, and back then it was the only way to travel fast without minecarts.

  • Minecraft 1.5 seeds

My personal favourite, the Redstone Update. Hoppers, comparators and daylight sensors. The world itself generates just like on 1.4, so this is mostly useless, but I wanted to celebrate it with a page, still.

  • Minecraft 1.4 seeds

Spooky. Witch huts appeared in swamps, housing witches (and probably black cats).

  • Minecraft 1.3 seeds

Temples, pyramids, TNT traps. And yes, the almost forgotten jungle temple.

  • Minecraft 1.2 seeds

Welcome to the jungle! The build limit went up to 256 in this version.

  • Minecraft 1.1 seeds

Beaches, snowy mountains, hilly deserts, forests and taigas.

  • Minecraft 1.0 seeds

How much time has passed since 1.0? REALLY? Anyway... this version introduced muuushroom islands, snowy plains, frozen oceans, nether fortresses and the End.

  • Minecraft Beta 1.8 seeds

The Adventure Update rebuilt the terrain from scratch and added rivers and the very first villages, together with strongholds and abandoned mineshafts.

  • Minecraft Beta 1.7 seeds

The last version with the old terrain generation. Seasonal forests, rainforests and shrublands. No villages or strongholds yet. Good old days!
