Village and ruined portal (for speedruns)

Java Edition 26.3. Checked with Seeder's engine on .

The classic speedrun start, even if I never tried speedrunning once. Loot the village for food, beds and iron, light the ruined portal and you're in the Nether. Let me know if any of these seeds help!

Both are close to spawn on every seed. You should also see if the portal is a giant one, buried, or in an air pocket.

Good to know

  • The ruined portal's chest often has flint and steel or a fire charge, so check it before you look for a way to light the portal.

What is a ruined portal?

A broken Nether portal with a chest next to it. Fix the missing obsidian and light it. Minecraft Wiki

Can I use these seeds in a speedrun?

In set-seed categories, yes. Random-seed runs don't allow picking a seed, but these are great for practising routes.
